As the first light of dawn touches Eilat, you wake up with excitement for the adventure ahead. After a quick start to the morning, you head toward the Araba Border Crossing, where the promise of discovery awaits you on the other side. At 8:30 AM, you arrive at the Jordanian side, greeted warmly by our local representative, who assists with visas and ensures a smooth start to your journey.
The adventure begins with a scenic drive along Jordan’s Kings Highway, a route that offers sweeping views of rugged mountains, desert landscapes, and ancient terrain steeped in history. The anticipation builds as you approach Petra, a wonder of the ancient world carved into rose-red cliffs.
Upon arrival, the magic truly begins. A mesmerizing walk through the narrow, winding Siq—a natural rock corridor—leads you closer to Petra’s crown jewel: the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). As the Siq opens up, the breathtaking façade of the Treasury emerges, bathed in soft sunlight, leaving you in awe of its grandeur and mystery.
Accompanied by your expert guide, you dive deeper into the wonders of this ancient city. Explore the Royal Tombs, the Street of Facades, and other landmarks etched into the sandstone cliffs. With each step, you uncover stories of the Nabataeans, their ingenuity, and the rich history that shaped Petra into the iconic site it is today.
After an immersive exploration, you pause to savor a delicious traditional Jordanian lunch, a perfect way to recharge and reflect on the beauty you’ve just witnessed.
