Day 1: Arrival to Amman
Welcome to Jordan! “Ahlan Wa Sahlan.” Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, our English-speaking representative will be meeting you at the terminal gate of the flight holding a sign of your name. He will take you through immigration, customs, and luggage collection to finalize the airport procedure. Then you will meet your English-speaking driver and transfer to your hotel in Amman.
Day 2: (Wintertime: Amman excursion + Jerash) – (Summertime: Jerash + Dead Sea swim and lunch)
Wintertime program:
Amman excursion + Jerash – November 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025. (+/- 110km):
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your French Tour Guide at the hotel and start your day by exploring the historical part of Amman. Discover the magnificent Roman Theatre; the theatre was built during the reign of Antonius Pius (138-161 CE) and could seat about 6000 people. Visit the Citadel and its Temple of Hercules that was built between 162 – 166 ADS, the Umayyad Palace. Afterwards, you will enjoy a walk through the old city called “West Al Balad”. It has hundreds of shops, coffee shops and local restaurants. There are also several excellent shops selling beautiful traditional handicrafts, such as hand-woven rugs and cushions, pottery, and embroidered items, many of which now come in contemporary designs. Head to Jerash, the ruins of the old Roman city and temple of Artemis. Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal, provincial Roman urbanism that is found throughout the Middle East, comprising paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains, and city walls pierced by towers and gates. Back in Amman for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Summertime program:
Jerash + Dead Sea swim and lunch April 1, 2025 – October 31, 2025. (+/- 200km):
Breakfast at your hotel. Then meet your French speaking Guide and Head to Jerash, the ruins of old Roman city and temple of Artemis. Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal, provincial Roman urbanism that is found throughout the Middle East, comprising paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains, and city walls pierced by towers and gates. Continue to the lowest point on earth to enjoy a mouthwatering lunch at one of the fine hotels there also enjoying the usage of public facilities of the hotel such as swimming pools and hotel’s private beach. Back to Amman for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Amman – Mount Nebo and Madaba - Dana
After breakfast, begin your day by visiting Mount Nebo, located 800 meters above sea level. This sacred site offers breathtaking views and allows you to stand where Moses once gazed upon the “Promised Land.” Next, continue your journey to Madaba, where you will explore the renowned Basilica of St. George. In the afternoon, prepare for a truly unique and immersive cultural experience. Indulge in a social engagement activity that varies depending on the season. Jordan is renowned for its seasonal traditions and the warm hospitality of its locals. You may have the opportunity to participate in activities such as olive harvesting and enjoying a meal, sharing lunch with a local family in their home, engaging in daily farmer routines, or savoring a traditional local lunch. Once you have completed this enriching experience, proceed to Dana Nature Reserve for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Dana – hike 6 hours Dana to Wadi Feynan - Petra
After breakfast at Dana motel, start the adventure 16-kilometer Wadi Dana trail which is situated in the Dana Biosphere Reserve. It starts in the village of Dana and ends at the Feynan eco lodge. Passing through sandstone gorges, this trail leads downhill to Feynan. Wadi Feynan forms the western gateway of Dana Biosphere Reserve and provides an unparalleled experience in desert. Your lunch will be served as a lunch box. Upon completion, we will pick you up and transfer you to Petra for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 5: Petra visits and exits from the back road - Wadi Rum. Overnight in set Camp
After breakfast, take a fascinating tour to admire the breathtaking architecture of Petra city. Walk through the Siq, a colorful narrow gorge over a kilometer long which leads to the magnificent Treasury. See royal tombs, the Roman-style theatre, beautiful temples, and museums. Your exit from Petra is different from other travelers on that day! You will enjoy the hidden road from the back reaching out to Little Petra, which makes your walking day even longer and more satisfying for adventure enthusiasts. Your walk will be around 16km. Upon completion, head to Wadi Rum campsite for dinner and overnight at a set camp.
Day 6: Explore Wadi Rum with local lifestyle and sleep under stars.
Today you live, dine, and walk like true Bedouins. After breakfast at your set camp, a full day schedule in the desert of Wadi Rum including breakfast in the next day, lunch and Bedouin dinner making, 2hrs of riding jeeps through the depths of the desert discovering Wadi Rum’s most common attractions, 3hrs of trekking and hiking around the rugged mountains and the stunning Arabian desert, 1hr camel ride. Your lunch will be served during the day in the traditional way. You will have a local food experience depending on season like Bedouin Arbood Bread, Mansaf, Bedouin Fateh. You are escorted with Bedouin road guide specialist besides your private French speaking guide. Overnight in mobile basic camp including all needed equipment for setting areas, cooking and picnic food, water, escort Jeep, first aid except for the sleeping bags. Enjoy your overnight under the stars with this calm atmosphere.
Day 7: (Wintertime: Rum – Dead Sea swim- Amman) - (Summertime: Wadi Rum –Mujib – Amman).
Wintertime program:
Wadi Rum – Dead Sea swim & lunch, November 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025. :
After breakfast in your mobile camp, Head to the Dead Sea hotel for entry and lunch enjoying public facilities of the hotel such as swimming pools and the beach. Upon completion, transfer to Amman for dinner and overnight. Dine at your Amman Hotel’s main restaurant and enjoy your mouthwatering farewell dinner, and free cake and soft drinks.
Summertime program:
Wadi Rum – Wadi Mujib – Amman) April 1, 2025 – October 31, 2025. :
After breakfast in your mobile camp, head to Wadi Mujib for a 2hrs Siq trail. Upon completion, transfer to Amman for dinner and overnight. Dine at your Amman Hotel’s main restaurant and enjoy your mouthwatering farewell dinner, and free cake and soft drinks.
Day 8: Amman – Amman Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia Airport for departure. Safe travel!
