Tour Itinerary
Your day begins with a peaceful breakfast at your hotel, preparing you for an unforgettable journey through history and nature. The first stop is Little Petra—a hidden treasure tucked away in the sandstone cliffs. As you step into this charming site, you’re transported back in time. The intricate rock-cut architecture and narrow pathways tell stories of the Nabataeans, offering a glimpse into their daily lives and artistry. With fewer crowds than Petra, the atmosphere here feels intimate, allowing you to appreciate the carvings and the cultural heritage preserved within this lesser-known gem.
From Little Petra, the adventure continues as you journey south to the majestic Wadi Rum, often referred to as the “Valley of the Moon.” The shifting sands and dramatic rock formations create a landscape unlike any other, captivating travelers with its otherworldly beauty.
Upon arrival, a thrilling 4-hour Jeep excursion begins, taking you deep into the heart of Wadi Rum. Guided by local Bedouins, who share their unique knowledge of the land, you explore some of the desert’s most iconic sites. Stop at Lawrence’s Spring, where tales of T.E. Lawrence (“Lawrence of Arabia”) echo through the desert winds, and marvel at the petroglyph-covered walls of Khazali Canyon. Along the way, the striking red sand dunes and towering cliffs provide perfect photo opportunities as you experience the vastness and serenity of this magical desert.
Midway through your adventure, a special treat awaits: you’ll enjoy a traditional Bedouin lunch prepared fresh in the heart of Wadi Rum. Gather around in a shaded spot amidst the sand dunes, savoring local dishes cooked with time-honored Bedouin methods. It’s more than just a meal—it’s an experience of warmth, hospitality, and cultural immersion, offering a true taste of desert life.
As the afternoon winds down, your Jeep excursion concludes, leaving you awestruck by the sheer beauty and timeless energy of Wadi Rum. Arriving at a comfortable desert camp, you can relax and reflect on the day’s discoveries. As the sun begins to set, the desert transforms into a canvas of colors—shades of gold, red, and violet dancing across the horizon.
The evening unfolds under a blanket of stars, with the stillness of the desert creating a peaceful and magical atmosphere. Whether you enjoy traditional Bedouin tea or simply gaze at the star-filled sky, this day will be etched in your memory as a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and serenity amidst Jordan’s natural wonders.
